چکیده

Two decorrelation stretch techniques called Direct Decorrelation Stretch (DDS) and Intensity Conservation DDS (ICDDS) have been recommended for applications on highly correlated multispectral images. This work examines the approaches of DDS and ICDDS in more details and seeks to clarity some apparent misconceptions in saturation stretching. To describe the misconceptions, an IHS substitution (IHSS) technique is proposed. For saturation stretching or image fusion, the fact that the product of saturation value and intensity value equals to a constant value, the hue is unchanged and the saturation value of a pixel is inversely proportional to its intensity value. This fact is crucial to be considered in designing the algorithms.

Algorithm Theoretical Basis Document for Decorrelation Stretch Version 2 . 2 August 15 , 1996

The decorrelation stretch is a process that is used to enhance (stretch) the color differences found in a color image. The method used to do this includes the removal of the inter-channel correlation found in the input pixels; hence, the term "decorrelation stretch". The purpose of this document is to explain: 1) the conditions that normally appear in multispectral data that indicate that color...

Comparative Assessment of Multi-temporal Insar Techniques for Generation of Displacement Maps: a Case Study for Bucharest Area

This paper presents a comparative assessment of Synthetic Aperture Radar interferometric techniques (InSAR) that allow the detection of deformation models along the line-of-sight of the radar. Given the susceptibility of these methods to several limitations that act as noise effects in the interferograms, known as decorrelation phenomena, multi-temporal InSAR techniques have been used for the e...

InSAR New Generation

Synthetic Aperture Radar Interferometry (InSAR) is an established powerful technique for change detection. Its advantages include competitive spatial resolution, accuracy in milimeter-centimeter scale and spatial coverage. However, there are limitations in using it for detecting the Earth surface changes. Line-of-sight ambiguity (1-D displacement), temporal and geometrical decorrelation (slopes...

Hybrid CramÉr-Rao Bounds for Crustal Displacement Field Estimators in SAR Interferometry

This paper focuses on the performance achievable by spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar Interferometry (InSAR) in the estimation of line-of-sight crustal deformations from acquisitions over a distributed scatterer. Our model is suited for exploiting the Hybrid Cramér-Rao Bound (HCRB), where the unknowns are both deterministic parameters and stochastic variables. We take into account both target...
